The 1 Essential Oil Every Boy Mom Needs in Her Medicine Cabinet

Boy mom or not, there is one essential oil that you really can’t raise your kids without!

I highlight this for boy moms because that is all I know. I have two sons and five nephews, and none of us can seem to produce a girl. So, if you are a girl mom, this is relevant to you too, but I can only speak to what I know, which is boys!

Let’s get to it. If you are raising boys that love to wrestle, rough house, run, jump, climb, spin, roll, karate chop, play sports, defy odds of gravity, scooter ride… Do I need to go on? If you are raising boys who love to be boys, the reality is that you will end up with plenty of bumps and bruises along the way. Of course, we do what we can as moms to minimize the injuries, but when you are working towards a balance of enjoying life and safety, injuries are inevitable.

When I hear my 2-year-old tell his brother:

Hey, Rem! Watch this…”

I know there is a good chance I won’t round the corner before the damage is done.

Luckily, I have found the one essential oil that seems to be a cure-all for raising boys. I use this particular oil for:

  • cuts

  • skinned knees

  • major head bonks

  • swelling

  • mysterious injuries with an unknown source

  • bumps

  • bruises

  • burns

  • scrapes

  • rashes

This oil is so incredible that most of the time, the evidence of the injury is 90% gone by the next day. I am talking about huge head bonks that instantly start to bruise and create a goose egg completely gone the next day. I can’t speak to the incredible healing of this power enough, so let me introduce you to…

Drum roll, please…

Owie oil is a soothing blend of Idaho Grand Fir, Tea Tree, and Elemi essential Oils. It can be used on dry and sensitive skin. This unique blend of oils is known to support the body’s natural healing processes.

I prefer to buy the Owie Oil Roller because it makes the application easy peasy (it can even be applied while your child sleeps). I have found that I am way more likely to use my essential oils when they are in a roller ball and ready to be applied and properly diluted for the kids.

I keep one of these roller balls in my medicine cabinet, my purse, and one at each of my close relative’s houses so that I am prepared to play super mom whenever necessary!
